Tauron wins new clients

 
The number of clients from other regions of Poland, outside the Group’s historical area of operations, increases. The portfolio of external clients includes the largest Polish companies.
 
In the past several months sales companies from the Tauron Group (Kraków-based Enion Energia and Wrocław-based EnergiaPro Gigawat) have won 7 thousand new energy supply clients outside their areas of operations. Contracts were signed with those clients for sale of over 4 TWh of electricity until the end of the year. Moreover, we are now in negotiations with another partners from outside the Tauron Group’s area of operation. 
 
“It is our priority to adjust our sales offer to our clients’ needs and requirements” said Krzysztof Zamasz, Vice-President of the Management Board, Commercial Director at Tauron Polska Energia S.A. “We offer experts’ support to our business clients. Dedicated relation managers offer, among other things, trade balancing service, which helps streamline operation of companies. We are glad to have the largest Polish companies in our client portfolio, including companies from outside our area of operation.
 At present, approximately 80% domestic steel industry companies and a part of the banking sector companies are Tauron’s clients (almost one thousand energy outlets, including but not limited to   Bank BGŻ, Alior Bank, Bank Polskiej Spółdzielczości). Our clients include also Żywiec Zdrój and Danone, Carrefour and Auchan large stores, Maspex Group, ZCh Police as well as Bauer and Polskapresse publishing houses (including Radio RMF FM and web site Interia.pl).
 
Our recently signed contracts include an agreement for sales of electrical energy to Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku w Chorzowie (Silesian Culture and Recreation Park in Chorzów).

The Tauron Group supplies energy to over 4 million clients, including almost 500 thousand businesses. In 2009 the Group sold 30.4 TWh of electricity.
