Supervisory Board of TAURON Polska Energia appointed a new vice-president

 
On 28 September Vice-President of the Management Board, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer of Tauron Polska Energia S.A. was selected. The position was assumed by Joanna Schmid. Qualification proceedings were announced by the Supervisory Board on 3 September.
 
On 28 September there was held in Katowice a meeting of the Supervisory Board of TAURON Polska Energia S.A. The main subject of the meeting covered interviews with candidates applying for the position of the Vice-President of the Management Board, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer.
There were three applicants, two persons satisfying the official requirements defined in the announcement were invited to interviews. Following the interviews, the Supervisory Board Appointed Joanna Schmid to the position of the Vice-President of the Management Board, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. The new Vice-President is to commence her work on 1 October.
Joanna Schmid worked from 1994 to 2001 with ING Bank Śląski, Department of Capital Investments. In the years 2001-2007 she was Vice-President of the Górnośląski Fund in Katowice, and in the years 2008-2010 – undersecretary of state with Ministry of State Treasury. She is a graduate from the Department of Law at the University of Silesia as well as from numerous post-graduate studies (University of Economics in Katowice, Warsaw School of Economics – MBA studies, or the University of Warsaw).
