Another wind farm to be built in the Tauron Group

On 15 December 2010 TAURON Ekoenergia, a company dealing with renewable energy sources in the Tauron Group, signed agreement for purchase of 100% shares in a special purpose vehicle (SPV) that has a design for construction of a 100 MW wind farm.

The SPV “Megawat Marszewo” is located near the town of Marszewo (in the municipality of Postomino, West Pomeranian province). “It is the second company purchased by Tauron Ekoenergia in pursuit of the corporate strategy of the Tauron Group which stipulates construction of 440 MW wind farms by 2020. Now, works are carried out at Tauron Ekoenergia connected with construction of a 40 MW wind farm in Wicko that should be commissioned in 2012”, said Dariusz Stolarczyk, Vice-President of the Management Board of Tauron Polska Energia S.A.
The tender for construction of the Marszewo wind farm should be announced in the first half of 2011 and the wind farm should start operation in 2013.
