Tauron Polska Energia wins subsequent tenders for sales of electrical energy to business clients – both within own distribution area and in other region sof Poland..
The National Museum in Cracow resolved the tender on purchase of electrical energy – the offer submitted by Tauron appeared to be the most competitive. Similarly, the stadium of the football club Wisła Kraków will purchase energy from Tauron. Apart from its own distribution area, on the other hand, the Group may enjoy the won tender on sales of energy to Górnośląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze in Pyrzowice (airport in Katowice).
- We have been participating in active sales operations all over the territory of the country, and competing for a business client requires considerable involvement – says Dariusz Lubera, the President of the Management Board of Tauron Polska Energia. – We have been trying not only to offer competitive prices but also products interesting from the clients’ perspective.
- Currently we have been offering, among others, Tauron Eko Premium – energy acquired from renewable sources, the origin of which, as the only one, is confirmed by the Polish Society of Energy Certification and Tauron Kompensacja – a product addressed to entities which face high costs connected with exceeded consumption of passive energy, as compared with the contract, and which are willing to improve their effectiveness in energy management – adds Krzysztof Zamasz, Vice-President of the Management Board of Tauron Polska Energia on commercial issues.
Tauron sells electrical energy both through the companies of the Group - Tauron Sprzedaż (Since 3 January 2011 it has consolidated the sales operations of the former companies Enion Energia and EnergiaPro Gigawat), and at the level of the holding.
The qualification procedure to select the Management Board of Tauron Polska Energia for the third tenure has been completed. The Supervisory Board launched the qualification procedure to appoint the President of the Board and four Vice-Presidents on 2 February this year). 20 candidates applied, on 24 February the interviews took place. As a result, the Supervisory Board appointed the following management board:
Dariusz Lubera – President of the Board,
Joanna Schmid – Vice-President of the Board on strategy and development,
Dariusz Stolarczyk - Vice-President of the Board on corporation matters,
Krzysztof Zamasz - Vice-President of the Board on commercial issues,
Krzysztof Zawadzki - Vice-President of the Board on financial-economic issues.
The third tenure of the Management Board will commence on the day of the General Assembly adopting the financial statement for 2010. Until this moment, the Management Board of Tauron shall work within the second tenure which started in March 2008.
In accordance with the Articles of Association, the management board members are appointed for the period of common tenure lasting three years. The third tenure shall finish in 2014 on the day of the General Assembly adopting the financial statement for 2013.
