TAURON Ekoenergia builds a wind farm in Marszewo

TAURON Ekoenergia signed agreement for construction of 82 MW wind farm in Marszewo, including supply and installation of wind turbines. The agreement was signed on 19 January with Iberdrola who won the tender procedure.  

The farm will be built by a consortium of Iberdrola Engineering and Construction Poland (consortium leader) and Iberdrola Ingenieria Y Construccion (partner). The general engineer is Tractebel Engineering.

The 82 MW farm will be built in Marszewo, in the territory of Postomino commune in Westpomeranian province. Planned term of execution is estimated at 20 months. The value of the order is PLN 632 net.

The Marszewo farm will be the third wind farm in the TAURON Group. On 28 September 2011 TAURON Ekoenergia bought a 30.75 MW wind farm Lipniki, located in South-West part of Opole province, in the territory of Kamiennik commune (Nysa district). Together with the closing of the acquisition of Górnośląski Zakad Elektroenergetyczny, TAURON also became the owner of 30 MW wind farm in Zagórze near Wolin.
