On 31 January TAURON Obsługa Klienta Sp. z o.o. (TOK, customer service company) with its registered office in Wrocław merged with TAURON Obsługa Klienta GZE Sp. z o.o. (TOK GZE, customer service company) with its registered office in Gliwice.
TOK took over all rights and liabilities of TOK GZE. The merger, similar to previous mergers in the Group, is in line with TAURON’s strategy stipulating simplification of organizational structure and implementation of a business model, under which subsidiaries running the same operations are consolidated.
Implementation of the business model, which consists in centralization of similar tasks in a single company, has started in September 2011, when TAURON Group’s subsidiaries integrated their operations and new companies were established such as TAURON Sprzedaż (Supply), TAURON Obsługa Klienta (Customer Service), TAURON Wytwarzanie (Generation), TAURON Dystrybucja (Distribution), TAURON Ekoenergia (RES) and TAURON Ciepło (Heat).
Another stage of consolidation is related to TAURON’s acquisition of GZE assets from Vattenfall in December 2011. As a result, the Group acquired companies running the same operations as existing TAURON’s subsidiaries.
In October 2012 the mergers of TAURON Dystrybucja with TAURON Dystrybucja GZE and TAURON Ekoenergia with TAURON Ekoenergia GZE were registered.
