TAURON Polska Energia went one place up and is now No. 17 on the list of 500 Biggest Companies in Central and Eastern Europe prepared by Rzeczpospolita daily and Deloitte. TAURON is also among the TOP 25 largest listed companies.
This is yet another move up in the ranking. Last year TAURON was on 18th and two years ago 23rd place.
TAURON achieved their high position mainly thanks to increased sales revenue. In 2012 it amounted to over PLN 24.7 billion, i.e. approx. 19.2 percent more than in the same period a year earlier. The Company also improved their net result which is also taken into account in the rating and which amounted to over PLN 1.5 billion last year, i.e. almost 22 percent more than in 2011.
