Investor Relations of TAURON Polska Energia were recognised as the best among WIG30 index companies.
In the second issue of investor relations quality survey, organised by "Parkiet" Stock Exchange Magazine and the Chamber of Brokerage Houses, for one month, Internet users voted for WIG30 index companies. Organisers of the survey also conducted interviews with representatives of financial institutions - analysts, managers and brokers, the results of which affected the final evaluation of investor relations quality.
– The first place in investor relations survey is for us not only an honour but mainly the obligation to make further improvements in communication with the capital market. Since our exchange debut we have been continuing active dialogue, both with institutional and individual investors and we are pleased that our work has been recognised. For us, each investor is a partner whom we treat according to identical rules – says Dariusz Lubera, President of the Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia.
Department of Market Communication and PR, within which Investor Relations Office operates, is in charge for communication with investors. Investors can use, inter alia, the Investor Relations tab on the website, the IR mobile application as well as video- and teleconferences. TAURON regularly organises chats with management board members and also makes available transmissions of conferences on results, including the video commentary of the President of the Management Board on financial results.
Among activities distinguishing the company, the Individual Investor's Day is worth mentioning, during which shareholders have the opportunity to participate in a special conference as well as get acquainted with TAURON Group assets. For several years the Company has been closely cooperating with Individual Investors’ Association - it is the partner of many educational and sports events, among others, the WallStreet conference as well as summer and winter Capital Market Games.
– The scale and our involvement is best illustrated by figures. During five years which have passed since the stock exchange debut, we held about 1000 meetings with investors. Every year we participate in several dozen conferences and roadshows organised in Poland and in global financial centres – underlines Krzysztof Zawadzki, Vice-President of TAURON Polska Energia Management Board for Economics and Finance.
TAURON belongs to the exclusive group of companies under the SII "10 of 10 – communicate effectively" programme, associating a limited group of few companies with the highest standards of communication with individual investors. It is also an active partner of the Civic Shareholding programme, promoting the idea of social education in the scope of issues related to investing.
The high quality of investor relations was confirmed by numerous awards - inter alia, the 2014 Hero of the Capital Market distinction, or the award granted by Thomson Reuters to Krzysztof Zawadzki, the company CFO, as the best financial director in investor communication among Polish listed companies.
The company also participates in "The Best Annual Report" competition, winning awards or distinctions every year - most recently, the main award for the 2013 report and the distinction for the annual report on Internet.
The gala ceremony during which results of the competition were announced, was held on 6 March in Bukowina Tatrzańska within the framework of the 15th Programme Conference of the Chamber of Brokerage Houses. On behalf of the company, the award was received by Stanisław Tokarski, Vice-President of the Management Board for Strategy and Development. - We are very happy with this distinction and we treat it as our commitment of continued improvement. Since the beginning of our stock exchange history we have paid special attention to the quality of communication with investor community– said Vice-President Stanisław Tokarski during the ceremony.
