Since 2013, TAURON Polska Energia has been continuously listed in the RESPECT Index. In December, the company joined the group of listed socially responsible companies.
The ceremony of announcing the results of the 11th edition of the RESPECT Index ranking was held on 14 December at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The aim of the RESPECT Index project is to select companies managed in responsible and sustainable way, moreover, the project strongly emphasises investment attractiveness of companies which demonstrates, among others, reporting quality, level of investor relations or information governance.
– We carry out TAURON’s activity taking into account the best world solutions in the scope of responsible business and communication with the environment. Only during the last year we undertook a number of initiatives in the scope of environmental protection, social, employee and compliance issues. The effect of those measures is, among others, our continued presence in the RESPECT Index ranking. For us, this is the reason for satisfaction whereas for our investors, it is a clear signal that also in non-business areas we implement our activities according to the best standards - says Filip Grzegorczyk, President of the Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia.
This year the company has adopted a new Sustainability Strategy for the years 2017-2025, which is consistent with the Business Strategy of TAURON Group.
The Company also publishes non-financial data according to international guidelines (Global Reporting Initiative) on an annual basis. In 2017, it issued the integrated report for which it was awarded the first prize in the competition organised by the Institute of Accountancy and Taxes.
TAURON is also a member of the exclusive group of reporting companies - “The Best of the Best”.
Annual reports make a permanent element of TAURON’s communication with the environment. The Company maintains a high level of reports in order to meet expectations of as wide group of recipients as possible - both customers, shareholders, analysts and media representatives.
